Lignosulfonate

 

Stromex LLC carries out regular deliveries of lignosulfonate in powdered form (LSTP) and in liquid form (LST).

 

Lignosulfonates are a mixture of sodium salts of lignosulfonic acids with an admixture of mineral and reducing substances. Lignosulfonates are produced from cellulose bisulfite cooking liquor. Lignosulfonates dissolve in water to form neutral or slightly acidic solutions, have low viscosity and exhibit adhesive properties when drying. Lignosulfonates are widely used in various industries due to their high surface activity, being a kind of anionic surfactants.

 

Lignosulfonates are used in the following areas of production:

  • Oil and gas production complex, well drilling: reagent for regulating the parameters of drilling fluids;
  • Mining industry: dust suppressor, reagent for flotation and agglomeration of ores;
  • Foundry and metallurgy: binder in foundry molding mixtures and refractories, non-stick additives;
  • Construction: cement and concrete plasticizer, binder in road construction;
  • Timber industry: plasticizing material in the manufacture of plasterboard sheets, chipboard, fiberboard and plywood;
  • Agriculture and agro-industrial complex: binder in the production of briquetted plant protection products and in the granulation of biocomponents;
  • Chemical industry: stabilizer, dispersant, foaming agent, binder.
